2nd Annual Christmas Party

Join us on Saturday December 20 from 8pm-Late for our 2nd annual Christmas Party.
3 musical guests, featuring ‘Michael Patrick Jazz Quartet’ to start the evening. Our house band ‘Tangerine Blue’ takes stage following Michael Patrick, and starting around 10pm it’s ‘Night Owl’ Live.It all takes place in our new Banquet hall. Enjoy Complimentary appetizers, and a jolly good time!

Wine update and our new Banquet room

We had a really great year. A big thanks to everyone that visited us this summer, and A great big thanks to the musicians. We had a lot of fun this summer, and the harvest was spectacular!
All the reds have finished fermentation and are settling to be racked and put into barrels. Our whites will go through a 2nd racking and left to settle again before we rack and filter.
For the last month we have really rushed to get the Banquet room finished and are happy to say we open the doors on December 3rd.
We are already booking for weddings and Christmas parties. There is still some open availability, and the space holds 110-120 max.
For the upcoming holidays, we have a few very special wines coming out, so stay tuned!

Wine Harvest Celebration with a new wine release!

Join us on Sunday in the Celebration of our upcoming Grape Harvest. We just Released our 2012 Cab Franc and would love everyone to try it.

Vineyard Update

September 11, 2014
merlotAs the summer is soon coming to an end, we are very thankful for the beautiful weather we have had this year, and getting very excited for the Harvest to begin. Summer in the vineyard involves pruning, shoot thinning, tucking in vines, spraying, and leaf removal to ensure proper sunlight and airflow through the grape cluster. This prevents any powdery mildew. Right now we are just finishing up the bird netting, and prepping the cellar for harvest.
We have enjoyed many fun events on the new patio this year, and many delicious pizzas right from our wood oven. There are several things happening in the next couple of months, so stay tuned and check our events page for anything upcoming. gr

Vintage Market Aug 10th

A one day Pop-Up event!
Our Vintage market!! A selection of the Islands Best Artisans. Local, independent artists, designers! It’s Vintage, up cycled, crafty, and handmade!
Admission is free, so come support your local community and artisans.
Stalls, Family Fun, Live music, popcorn featured in a vintage popcorn cart, and handmade pizzas in Millstone’s new wood burning pizza oven.
Performance by the amazing sounds of Michael Patrick and his Jazz Quartet. You may know Michael for his amazing R&B and Jazzy Style. They will be performing on our new Patio.
Come out and enjoy a lovely afternoon on the patio, or mix and mingle in the Vineyard and check out the displays of the local artisans

Goodbye July, Hello August! Hello Wood Burning Pizza Oven, and Expanded Patio!

We are enjoying the busy summer at Millstone and hoping for many hot sunny days to come. Our patio is almost completed as we have expanded to accommodate even more wine lovers!
You will notice that we have also recently put in a wood burning pizza oven. YAY!! How exciting! Although not fully completed, it is in working order, and we are ready to make some Real-Good-Pizzas! We are working on menus, but for now, we have 4 pizza styles available. Schedule for the pizza oven is Friday (3-6) and Saturday and Sunday (12-6) The hours will likely change in the upcoming month.
Our live music stage and drop-in weekend jam is always a fun favorite. Ask our friendly staff about our next music jam and remember to BRING YOUR FRIENDS AND YOUR INSTRUMENTS! We encourage participation as much as we appreciate an audience!
The vines are looking really good this year, and with the hot weather likely to continue, it will be a spectacular year. As we finish cutting back some of the extra lateral growth, we will slowly start to remove some of the extra leaves around the fruiting zone to help with the grape ripening.

Harvest Update-What’s Happening

vineyardThe vineyard team has been both busy in the field and busy finishing up the expansion of the patio.

In the Vineyard? We’ve been busy removing the big bad weeds from under the plants. We are adding a nice thick mulch of fish fertilizer under the vines.This will give a great fertilizer, as well as help prevent some of the larger weeds from growing in. We want to add nice organic matter to the soil every year. After the weeds are handled we have started shoot thinning. This will allow us to ensure the correct number of shoots per plant creating an even ripening. Shoot thinning also permits good sun exposure and a nice airflow through the vines.

On the Patio? Rock wall building, grass growing, patio stones, plants, and something we are very soon excited to share with you…….(Keep you posted)

In the Cellar? The whites have all been bottled. Our 2013 Ortega, and 2013 Pinot Gris are now released. The reds sit and age in the barrels until they are ready to be bottled. 2012 Pinot Noir Release coming soon…..(Keep you posted)

What’s happening this weekend? Because it is the first day of summer tomorrow we are celebrating with our Summer Solstice Sangria, so stop in, say hello, chill on the patio, and fill a glass with the best tasting Sangria! Bring the Family for a game of badminton or Bocce Ball.

Fathers Day BBQ

Join us for our first annual Fathers Day BBQ at the Winery!

Kristi will be preparing everything from pulled pork sliders, some seasonal sides, and for the seafood Lover our prawn and scallop skewers’ Our artisan cheese plates will also be available.

Up for a game with Dad? We’ve got the badminton net set up, or enjoy some Bocce in the vineyard. We will also have music on stage at 4pm.

Our Fathers Day Menu:

Pulled Pork Sliders $10 (comes with a side slaw)
Prawn & Scallop skewers $7 (comes with a side salad)
Guac and Chips $8
Artisan Cheese plate $16 (Local cheeses, handmade sausage, cracks, and seasonal fruit)
