We celebrated our Thanksgiving early this year, with our family, friends, and staff, so on whichever day you are celebrating with your family or friends, we wish you Happy Thanksgiving! Our turkey was roasted in the Wood-Fired oven (this is the new Millstone Winery tradition) and everyone brought a dish. Potatoes, brussel sprouts, stuffing, my new favorite cream corn, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie etc. We paired this with the 2014 Pinot Gris, and it was unreal! We are Thankful for our great harvest this year, and everyone that worked hard to get us there. A big thanks goes to all of our volunteers.
It’s been awhile since we have done an update, and a lot has happened in the vineyard this year. We worked tirelessly to ensure a fantastic year, and have achieved on of the best harvests since we started. While looking at our last varietal to pick, Merlot, I feel an overwhelming sense of accomplishment. All our 2015 whites are in the fermentation stage, and almost ready to be racked. The 2015 Pinot Noir awaits daily punch-downs , and the 2014 reds are awaiting to be bottled.
We have been to many events this summer, hosted many great musicians on the vineyard patio, and ate a lot of Wood-Fired Pizzas.
With the 2015 harvest now behind us, we enjoy the next exciting days in our production facility.
Stay tuned for more details, and exciting upcoming wine releases.
